Whats The Best Device To Reduce Our Dog Barking?
Posted by adminFeb 12
I have heard of sonic devices which send out high pitched alarms which stop a barking dog.
Our dog is outside has shelter and food and is walked regularly but the barking is becoming a nuisance I`m sure to the neighbours.
I accept a certain level of barking is normal, but I dont wish to receive complaints for noise pollution !
To reduce, or stop dog barking consider Lentek / Koolatron’s Bark Free Pro series anti barking dog devices. Just how to stop a dog from barking – especially a neighbor’s dog – can be extremely challenging. Bark Free may well be the problem solving product you’ve been seeking. Bark Free has undergone numerous changes over the last five years making significant improvements in the capability of their product to prevent dog barking.
I think you should just try and train them. You dont need a devise…Some types might be a little mean for the dog.
Just as human language is multifaceted and multipurpose, barking allows a dog to communicate many different messages in a variety of situations. It can signal a request to an owner (”Hey, I want to go outside!”), impart a warning (”You’re in my territory!”), or simply serve to amuse when a dog has little else to do.http://dogtime.com/barking.html
I totally understand, my 3 dogs do the same every single night we try telling them off, being carm, nothing will work…..
The only thing we have found that does work is get a little water sprayer and spray it on the floor near the dog, not so it touches them but so they hear it then mine come in and wont go out again..
Hope this helps as i no the feeling ………….
One way, is to teach your dog to bark on command. Every time you see your dog is about to bark, command “[Dog's name] bark!” Then, if you have one, give him/her a treat (otherwise stroke, or “Good boy/girl). This way, your dog should learn to only bark when you say so…
Hope this helps!
Dogs don’t like being alone, they are pack animals. IF shut him outside and all go in he’s probably just pining for your company. If its when you go out then ive found with my dogs (which stay in the house) that the radio being on helps.
Water squirter! Squirt it once or twice and your dog will be quiet. Basically it sounds like hes trying to be top dog which isn’t good you need to show him that you are in charge.
Bring him into your home and give him company and attention – the barking will stop. He is a bored and lonely dog who is barking for his pack.
I find shouting at the dog shuts it up.
in the end they stop it and you can enjoy having a dog that doesn’t bark everytime someone walks past the house
Give him the company of another dog….then he’ll only make a racket when somebody is coming.
Otherwise give him to someone else.
Consider what’s making your dog bark. Does he need yard access? Is a cat taunting him through the window? Does he just like the sound of his bark?
Grrrrr So you are the one with the dog that barks 24/7/365
There is one in every street.
Check your pet’s basic needs: hunger, thirst or elimination. Your pup might be trying to tell you something.
Make sure the dog has enough stimulation in the kennel, i.e. kongs filled with goodies, chew toys
