Help, my dog barks at the slightest thing, she can be laying in her bed and will hear a noise outside, it could be the slightest of noises and she starts barking and won’t stop for ages, if she hears foxes outside she starts again and she also runs at the front door throwing herself at it til we wake up and send her back to bed. Her barking is driving us mad, any advise will be appreciated.

I have heard of sonic devices which send out high pitched alarms which stop a barking dog.
Our dog is outside has shelter and food and is walked regularly but the barking is becoming a nuisance I`m sure to the neighbours.
I accept a certain level of barking is normal, but I dont wish to receive complaints for noise pollution !

She has heart troubles and I am afraid my dog will start barking in the middle of the night and give her a heart attack. She has a hound dog bark that startles me, let alone my Aunt. What can I do to make her stop? NO SHOCK COLLERS PLEASE!

I have a 4 year old Maltese he never had a problem barking at our old house. Since we have moved there is a dog over the fence that barks and so my dog barks back constantly and paws at the fence. I have to physically prise him away from the fence when I go out to tell him off otherwise he does not listen to me. I would like to teach my dog not to bark even if the other dog does.

I have a lot of traffic in my home. One of my 3 dogs barks every time someone comes in. I’ve tried shock collars and spray collars. Both worked for a short while, but she started barking gain. This dog has been through training, and minds well except for the barking. I’m at wits end.

When my dog is outside or inside, she will bark when other dogs bark or hears loud noises. When she is outside and the neighbor’s dogs are just lying in their own yard, my dog will just look at one in particular and bark and bark. Sometimes, it seems she barks to just hear herself bark. I have gone outside and put my hands around her mouth and say “No Bark” and sometimes I make her come inside for awhile. It seems to work sometimes … she does not like the hands-on effect nor does she like to come inside while the other dogs are outside. However, there are times when she is barking outside and I’m inside and I’ll call her name and say “No Bark” and she’ll stop for awhile … until I have to make her come inside. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

I have a miniature poodle – about 8 pounds with a really skinny neck. He barks in the morning when I leave for work. I have tried a beeping collar, which worked for awhile, and a shock collar (petsmart) which I don’t think ever shocked him even when he barked. Please recommend a specific brand and model. I’m sick of buying and returning collars, and I don’t want to upset the neighbors anymore! Other suggestions to keep him from barking are appreciated as well. I try to exercise him regularly and distract him with peanut butter treats when I leave.
